SniqueAway was created as a boutique private-sale travel eCommerce experience that offered luxury hotels and getaways at discount prices, with private sale exclusivity.
Product Strategy Overview
Business Need
Part of the TripAdvisor umbrella, its user base was both part of the existing customer base, along with new customers that were curated through SEM, organic traffic, and email marketing.
My Role
I was recruited to join the founding core team charged with developing the strategy, brand vision, design and experience for the startup product. I led the interactive design of the web experience from concept to completion, overseeing production and development. Having entrepreneurial spirit, I quickly jumped in wherever the need arose, partnering closely with engineering and regular beta testing and QA.
Outcomes
The SniqueAway product quickly gained adoption after initial release, being a strong competitor with Rue La La and Jetsetter.
Founding member, developing the product from the ground up and exceeding $1 million members within one year of launch.
Received a MITX 2010 award for excellence in innovation design as an industry leading product.
Fresh brand development and initiative resulted in a 25% life in brand perception and value.

Private sale experience
Each private sale includes unique responsive website content, as well as social media and email marketing.
SniqueAway Branding
Led concept development and execution for the brand’s corporate collateral including, business cards, letterhead, email signatures, and promotional materials. Additionally, photography direction was established for environmental and still shots.
